Angels and Feathers 3

part 3

Monday finally came. I tried to act happy but I knew I wouldn't fool Mara or Roy. The bus came and I sat in my seat, on the other side of the bus from Roy. The next two stops were picked up. At the stop sign Roy suddenly moved into the walkway of the bus. He was on one knee, looking up at me. He didn't move when the bus driver started yelling at him or when every one els started laughing at him. He looked strait into my eyes and held up a beautiful red rose, it was only just blooming and showing it's pretty peddles.
He was the perfect image of a modern 'knight in shining armor' as he asked, “Will you be my girlfriend, Katt?” I blushed at his use of the pet name he had given me.
“P-Puppy! Sit down!” I demanded, using the name I had given him, but I took the rose. He finally sat  back down in his seat. I was blushing a deeper red than the rose.

The whole day we were inseparable, though that wasn't unusual for us. The first week was awkward because the rumors were flying like wildfire within the girl population of the school. Being new and a really hot guy, didn't help his popularity and the number of girls after him. with me being unknown to everyone other than my closest friends, no one believed he was really dating someone but when they saw me holding his hand I guess they changed their minds.
That didn't mean they all liked it but I wasn't bugged to much about it. Most people in my classes knew my condition and those who didn't, learned fast. Many people though he was with me out of pity. Roy wasn't oblivious of this. Since he had stated at the school he made friends in many groups of people and people who were bold enough, came to him and told him to leave me.
My group of friends didn't grow or shrink. We still met on the roof for lunch. Roy and I went on our first date to the movies. We hung out with friends and played games.
Before I knew it my next checkup was tomorrow. Iv been having such a fun time that I wasn't worried about what the doctor will say. But this was a mistake on my part, assuming to much.
